Goodstein Management Inc. was founded more than forty-five years ago to manage Owner-Built properties constructed by its partners.  After originally concentrating in Westchester and the outer boroughs, it developed, over a twenty year period in Manhattan, those residential properties listed separately on the enclosed schedule of buildings.

Goodstein Management Inc. is a closely controlled company with two principals.  Martin Goodstein, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer concentrates on our Development Division.  Samuel Lewis, President and Chief Operating Officer is the principal in charge of our Management Division.

Our Company became involved in the Cooperative/Condominium field approximately twenty years ago when we converted a number of our buildings to Cooperatives.  It was our original intention to concentrate on new development and we believed that our best interest as Sponsor would be served by utilizing an Outside management firm.   Our executives sat on the newly formed Boards as Sponsor representatives and actively assisted in decision making even after residents assumed Board control.  It soon became obvious that the buildings were not being run to the expectations of these Boards.

We are extremely proud that these resident controlled Boards elected to engage our services.  We are equally proud of our record of accomplishment since resuming management in these buildings.  We believe our relationship with our former tenants is unique in our industry.

Since that time through recommendations only, we have assumed management of many other substantial Manhattan properties and undertaken successful management programs.  Currently our Company manages fifty-five buildings with more than 12,000 units.  Each of these buildings with the number of units is listed on our reference list.
